Emera Inc. has announced that veteran company executive Archie Collins will become the next president and CEO of Tampa Electric in May.
With more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, Collins has held increasingly senior roles within Emera. He has also served in leadership roles at Nova Scotia Power, Emera Energy, president and CEO of Grand Bahama Power Co., and president and COO of Emera Caribbean. He is currently serving as Tampa Electric’s president & COO.
He replaces Nancy Tower, who will officially retire from Emera at the end of June.

The Port of Belledune is a deep water facility in northern New Brunswick with year-round cargo handling capacity. It offers some of the shortest shipping routes between large European and North American markets.
is a Nova Scotia-based company that operates a full regulation-class natural gas distribution franchise in Nova Scotia. The franchise gives Heritage Gas the exclusive right to distribute natural gas through its distribution system to all or part of seven counties in Nova Scotia, including the Halifax Regional Municipality.
