Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro
Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) is the Crown utility with operations across the province with major power generation assets in Churchill Falls, Muskrat Falls, Bay d’Espoir and Holyrood. Hydro powers 200+ communities across the province with approximately 80 per cent of the provincial energy coming from clean hydroelectric generation.
Newfoundland Power is an investor-owned, regulated utility that delivers electricity service to more than 85% of customers (274,000) in Newfoundland with 13,000 kilometers of transmission and distribution lines on the island.
